Service Description

Matchbox Music P.R is a music promotion company, agency, digital marketing company and online digital publisher who distribute, promote and supply music releases to Radio, Online Press, Clubs, Venues, Music websites, TV and general worldwide media including within their own brands, managed 3rd party digital Radio and online networks and media activities.

Distribution if agreed will be worldwide covering all territories and is non-exclusive. The artist can cancel distribution at any point by giving 7 days notice to Matchbox. The artist will be paid 80% of all download sales and stream revenue and sales are reported to clients within standard industry timelines of 90 days.

Client Coverage

Matchbox Music P.R and 3rd party media outlets who receive promotional items from Matchbox Music P.R cannot in anyway guarantee any “specific” Radio playlists/airplay, Interviews, Press coverage, digital downloads or stream sales. However according to client budget Matchbox will agree to achieve set goals/aims and guaranteed amounts of deliverable coverage based on client budget and this will be detailed in writing in the invoice.  Matchbox Music PR within it’s own media activities, brands and 3rd party media companies and producers that receive music from Matchbox Music P.R reserve the right to refuse any material supplied and will make the final decision as to what they play, write about or feature on their shows, stations, websites and media outlets.

Radio and TV Interviews

As part of some services we may setup a live Radio or TV interview schedule and this will be supplied to the client in advance of all interviews. It is crucial that all artists attend and do these interviews at the exact time allocated by the company or any 3rd party suppliers. If a client or artist misses an interview they have agreed to, Matchbox Music P.R and the 3rd party station or channel reserves the right to cancel all future interviews. If a client misses an interview or does not act in a professional manner during the interview this works against the reputation of Matchbox Music P.R, it’s suppliers and the reliability of it’s clients and can affect other clients as well as the companies reputation. Matchbox Music P.R cannot be held responsible and will not be liable to issue any refunds for lack of service or cancellations due to any no shows on the clients behalf.

Matchbox Music P.R  cannot in any capacity refund any monies paid to them for any services. Our standard promotion period is 3-4 months but this can vary in duration depending on your budget or if both parties have agreed to a different time length, however all promotions will expire and be null and void after 1 year and are not subject to limitation unless otherwise agreed with the client. If a clients product is not delivered within this period they will be given a 14 day final notice from Matchbox Music P.R. If this notice period expires and the client has still not delivered a product the service and promotion will be null and void and they will not be entitled to a refund in any capacity. If the client does not pay the full amount invoiced to them for the service they will not be entitled to a refund.

Copyright clearances

If you are an artist, individual or label submitting product to be distributed and or promoted by Matchbox Music P.R , or submitting digital tracks for sale via 3rd Party digital retail partners, it is essential that you have copyright clearance for all tracks (both master and publishing) and artwork, and the works belong to you. Matchbox Music P.R  accept no responsibility for any works which do not have these clearances. By submitting our Client Campaign form and agreeing to these terms and conditions you agree that you are the 100% legal copyright owner. Some of our services and packages may include TV advertising. Matchbox Music P.R guarantees the costs per spot that were in place when the advertising was booked in. Prices per spot may change in time resulting in a client receiving more or less adverts according to current rates. For this reason it is recommended that all videos and footage for TV adverts be delivered immediately after booking in a promotion.

Campaign Reporting

After receiving payment and parts your campaign will be setup. Matchbox Music PR will then prepare, pitch and deliver your release to Radio and Media producers and chase up on feedback. After an initial digestion period of 2-3 weeks while media accept and digest the release, reports will then begin to flow and will be delivered to you by email approx every 2-3 weeks depending on how fast producers and media react and the report will contain only accepted coverage and feedback,  we do not supply a list of all database contacts who may reject a release in line with our privacy policy to Radio and media members of our service.

Matchbox Music P.R conduct Radio, media and client meetings and correspondence in person, by telephone, email and skype but reserve the right to prioritise in person meetings to only Radio and Media.
